Oslo Design Fair
Oslo Design Fair´s aim is to showcase what´s in front on the design and interior scene as well as being an international gathering. Talent, tradition and trends are key words for the fair´s content, exciting new ideas and impulses is an essential factor, and last but not least, the presentation of Scandinavian and international manufacturers. The theme of this seasons fair is Everyday Rituals reflected in quality, sustainability and durability, which will be on spot in a special curated exhibition and in different interesting lecturers and happenings throughout the four days fair. In addition, the Norwegian stylist Per Olav Sølvberg, Swedish Tina Hellberg and Danish Gitte Kjær have each furnished a studio to give an insight into their own creative work processes. Oslo Design Fair opens 25 January and lasts until the 28.
“Different cultures have different rituals, and rituals are different from person to person. Security is still a common denominator, and in the design and interior trends for 2017 this is reflected in quality, sustainability and durability. Warm and friendly colors characterize the palette, with brown as a basic color. Natural cognac and whiskey tones, burnt reds and camel shades characterizes everything from marble to textiles and woodwork, with touches of ocher, burgundy and pale pink.
