COS in Milan

The installation takes inspiration from the COS Spring Summer 2016 collection “Forest for Light”, and explores ideas of interaction and perspective designed with dark space illuminated by cones of light responding to the visitor movements. COS is inspired by Sou Fujimoto´s architecture and his focus on negative space and the concept of bringing the outside in, such as in Fujimoto´s well known 2013 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion. Martin Andersson, Head of Menswear at COS says:“Sou Fujimoto has really grasped the COS aesthetic, creating an installation that is so special in its simplicity and surprising in its approach”. The installation is located in the former theater Cinema Arti in Milan´s San Babila district. The location that has inspired the key aspects of Fujimoto´s design and provides an expansive backdrop. Open from 12-17 April, the installation builds on the brands previous art and design collaborations with renowned global artists and art establishments.
