A Christmas tree
As a part of the exhibition Sky´s the Limit with Skidmore, Owings & Merill (SOM) at Utzon Center in Denmark, the architects have designed an alternative version of a Christmas tree; a 7 meter (23ft.) tall structure in the Utzon Center´s courtyard, built from the famous Peter Lassen´s Montana grid out of 1000 square grid elements with changing illumination from colorful lights. – Stepping into the middle of the Christmas tree and getting that different and, in some ways, mind-bending experience of space and design, is not something you can experience elsewhere, says Lasse Andersson, creative director at Utzon Center. The Christmas tree is on display until the end of January. Photo © Allan Toft.
